When IPv6 residential beats IPv4
The IPv6 residential pool is interesting because it sits in a sweet spot most operators miss: residential trust at near-datacenter pricing. At $0.05/GB this is one of the cheapest residential tiers anywhere โ driven by IPv6's fundamentally cheaper provisioning economics.
Where it makes sense:
- Targets that already accept IPv6 (most modern stacks in 2026)
- High-volume scraping where residential trust matters but per-GB cost dominates
- Country-targeted jobs where you'd otherwise pay $1+/GB for IPv4 residential

Where IPv4 still wins:
