Proxy Pricing in 2026: Per-GB vs Per-IP vs Unlimited — What You Actually Pay

Residential and mobile proxies are sold per GB, static ISP per IP, unlimited plans per bandwidth and day. Here is how each model works, where the cheap headline price comes from, and worked monthly cost examples using real October 2026 prices.

Proxy price lists are hard to compare because the products are not sold in the same unit. Residential and mobile traffic is billed per gigabyte, static ISP addresses per IP per month, and unlimited plans per bandwidth and duration. The headline number on a landing page is usually the cheapest tier of the cheapest line, which may have nothing to do with what your workload will cost.

This guide walks through the four pricing models, shows where the “from” price comes from, and works through real monthly costs with the prices listed on Hell World in October 2026. All prices are in USD, and the total of any order is confirmed before you pay.

TL;DR — which model fits which workload

Workload Usually the cheapest model Why
Scraping, price monitoring, SERP checks Per-GB residential You pay for traffic, not for IPs you keep
Logged-in accounts, checkouts, ticket queues Per-IP static ISP One IP stays with the account for the whole period
App testing, social accounts that trust carrier IPs Per-GB mobile Carrier IPs cost more per GB, so keep traffic small
Very large, steady transfer volumes Unlimited (per bandwidth and day) Price no longer grows with every GB
Simple targets with little bot protection Per-GB datacenter or IPv6 Lowest cost per GB when residential trust is not needed

Per-GB pricing (residential, mobile, datacenter)

Per-GB plans charge for the traffic that goes through the proxy, in both directions. The price per GB drops as the package grows. On Hell World the residential tiers are 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 GB; mobile adds a 25 GB tier.

Two things decide the real price:

  • The line. Residential lines differ a lot. Geofast starts at $0.36/GB for a 1 GB package and falls to $0.23/GB at 1 TB, while premium lines such as Oxylab and Smart start at $4.29/GB and reach $3.16/GB at 1 TB. The cheapest headline you will see on this site — “from $0.23/GB” — is Geofast at the 1 TB package.
  • The package size. The same line can be almost 40% cheaper per GB at the top tier than at the bottom one, so buying a bigger package once is often cheaper than topping up small packages.

Validity matters too: residential traffic does not expire on most brands; Geofast and the F-series brands are valid for 90 days. If your usage is slow and unpredictable, a non-expiring brand can be cheaper overall than a lower per-GB price you do not use up in time.

Mobile proxies are priced the same way but cost more per GB, because every IP is a real carrier connection. FP-Mobile runs from $3.00/GB for 1 GB down to $1.11/GB at 1 TB; the US-only US-Mobile pool runs from $4.50/GB down to $2.20/GB.

Datacenter traffic is priced low: from $0.67/GB for 1 GB down to $0.24/GB at 1 TB. The IPv6 Datacenter and IPv6 Residential lines go lower still, to $0.085/GB and $0.11/GB at 1 TB, the lowest per-GB prices on the site. Use them where the target does not score IP reputation heavily.

Per-IP pricing (static ISP)

Static ISP proxies are dedicated addresses from ISP address space. You pay per IP for 30 days rather than per GB.

  • FP-ISP — $2.75 per IP, at any quantity.
  • HD-ISP — $2.80 per IP, at any quantity.
  • HD-ISP-V3 — tiered by quantity: $2.30 for 1–4 IPs, $2.15 from 5, $2.00 from 10, $1.85 from 25, $1.70 from 50 and $1.60 from 100 IPs.

So “from $1.60/IP” means a single order of 100 or more HD-ISP-V3 IPs. One IP costs $2.30 or more. ISP orders are activated automatically after payment through a queue, so they are not always instant; each order shows its progress in Order History.

Per-IP pricing is predictable because you pay for the addresses, not for each GB. That makes it the right model for accounts and checkouts, and the wrong one for scraping that needs thousands of different IPs.

Unlimited pricing (per bandwidth and day)

Unlimited plans replace the per-GB meter with a speed cap and a duration. Unlimited ISP (a US pool, mirrored by an EU version) starts at $17.50 for 30 Mbps for one day; 100 Mbps for 30 days costs $475. Unlimited Residential starts at 200 Mbps, from $227.50 for one day.

The value depends on how much of the speed you actually use. A 100 Mbps link running flat out for 30 days could move tens of terabytes; at 10% average use it still moves roughly 3 TB, which would cost about $690 at Geofast’s 1 TB price. If your traffic is bursty or small, per-GB stays cheaper.

Worked examples (October 2026 prices)

1. Price monitoring, 100 GB a month. Geofast at the 100 GB package: 100 × $0.28 = $28. The same volume on a premium line such as Oxylab at the 100 GB tier: 100 × $3.61 = $361. Start with the cheaper line and move only the targets that block it.

2. Ten sneaker accounts, each with its own IP. Ten HD-ISP-V3 IPs at the 10+ tier: 10 × $2.00 = $20 for 30 days. The same ten on FP-ISP: 10 × $2.75 = $27.50.

3. Social account warm-up on mobile IPs, 50 GB. FP-Mobile at the 50 GB tier: 50 × $1.83 = $91.50. Keep heavy page loads off the mobile line and send them through residential instead.

4. A steady US crawl moving about 5 TB a month. Per-GB on Geofast at the 1 TB tier would be roughly 5,000 × $0.23 = $1,150. Unlimited ISP at 100 Mbps for 30 days is $475, provided a US ISP pool suits the targets.

How to keep the bill down

  1. Measure before you buy: log the bytes per request for a day and multiply by your request volume.
  2. Block images, video and fonts in the browser or scraper when you do not need them; they are often most of the traffic.
  3. Match the line to the target. Use the cheapest line that works and keep premium lines for the targets that need them.
  4. Buy the package size you will really use before it expires, or pick a brand whose traffic does not expire.
  5. Use per-IP static ISP for anything that must keep the same identity; rotating per-GB IPs for those jobs costs more in failed sessions than it saves.

Where to compare

Every line, its per-GB or per-IP price and its country coverage is listed side by side on the residential, mobile, static ISP and unlimited pages. If you are choosing by country, the US, UK, Germany and Japan pages show which lines cover each location and what they cost there. Hell World is a proxy aggregation platform, so all of these lines share one balance and one dashboard.

One wallet, the full Hell World lineup

14 residential brands, 3 4G mobile pools, Static ISP, and 2 unlimited tiers. Top up $5, route some traffic, form your own opinion. On most residential brands the bandwidth does not expire.
