Where datacenter still works in 2026
Datacenter proxies are not dead — they're just niche. Anti-bot vendors like Cloudflare Bot Management and DataDome penalize known datacenter ASNs by default, so DC pools fail on consumer-facing e-commerce, ticketing, and most major retail.
But there's a long tail of jobs where DC works well:
- Internal API scraping where you control both ends
